I am very pleased with the services provided to me, especially by your staff, Ms Anna.  Ms Anna is not only professional, she is very responsive and helpful.  Irregardless of whether renewing my maid’s permit of getting a new maid, she has never fail to to provide me her professional advices and information.  I trusted her views and judgement so much that when I wanted a new maid recently (this month),  I just confirmed the maid through phone without having to come down to your office.  It was only the next day, I come to your office to sign the necessary documents.  This new maid has been with me for two weeks.  She is so far so good.

My husband and I would like to take this opportunity to register our heartfelt thanks to you for your assistance in solving the problems we face with my domestic helpers.  They had agreed right at the interview stage via skype I agreed to sign them on, to not own a hand phone.  They agreed to my proposed arrangement of using the house phone to call home with my help at an agreed regular time and when an emergency arose.  However, one morning I discovered one of my helpers was at the backyard pretending to work but was actually using a hand phone which she secretly owned.  She tried to hide it but I manage to discover it.  This particular helper has been giving problems in constantly asking me to send money back home.  I had sent money four times in less than 1 year of her working for me.  I even receive sms message from her sister-in law, a FDW in Taiwan, asking me to allow my helper to go home as there is a problem at home.  When asked to own up if she had a hand phone my helper denied.  At that point she said she wanted to continue working.  Thus I was very shocked to catch her using a hand phone.

I understand that communication is important but was very upset at the sheer lack of honesty.  But I decided to give her a chance since she was remorseful.  I also acknowledge it is not easy to deny them of this need to communicate despite being allowed to use the house phone regularly due to the need to communicate fast.  But I also realized why this helper had recently fell ill.  It was due to lack of rest at night as she was on the phone for a long time.

Although it was a Sunday morning when I called you, you listened to my problems, my frustrations and my proposed way to solve the problems as I am not in favour to change my helpers everytime a problem arise.  I prefer to find solutions instead, unless it is completely impossible to keep them.

You listened to my suggestions and gave your ideas on your experience.  You advice me on what is fair not just to the helpers but also to me as an employer.  You readily agreed for me to bring my helpers to your branch to personally counsel them for their wrong doings.  That was really important action as I was due to leave for overseas that very evening.  Your firm but fair approached to the helpers made them realize even more of their wrong doings.  They were visibly embarrassed, worried and even afraid to have been brought to you.

Your authority as the agent helped my helpers realize that I took their wrongdoings very seriously.  You shared with them true stories of serious accidents and incidents caused by the uncontrolled use of hand phone by FDWs upon themselves and the family they served.  You managed to remind them of their ultimate aim which is to earn a decent living here in Singapore.  You even chided one of my helpers for not showing respectful body language during the counselling session.  Based on my proposed arrangement to solve the problem you started categorically what, how and when my helpers are to use the hand phones.  You even made them sign a written agreement witnessed by you that they will abide by the mutually agreed time and duration for the use of hand phone.  Now I have implemented the arrangement.  I hope it will work out well.

So thank you again for helping me to sort the problem efficiently and professionally.  You were able to make the process very simple and clear in a very firm manner.  I am extremely happy with the service you have rendered since I come to you about 4 years ago.  I also realized that you are very good in matching the FDW to the need of the employer.  My husband also sponsors FDW for my parents-in-law and so far one had fulfilled her contract and now the current one that you recommended is also doing her duties well.

I also recommended a few family members to seek your service when they need FDWs and I will continue to do so as you have indeed showed a good understanding of what we employers look out for in a responsible and dependable agent.  I hope you will continue to be in this company as I had many unpleasant experienced with their employment agencies before.  They were just quick to point finger at MOM at their own inefficiency.  I hope Arrow will continue to be in this Industry and with a consultant like your kind self, I think we employers can be rest assured to get a quality helpers and more importantly high quality agents.

Nanik had same character traits as Baryati but even better since she was multi task could do almost anything. In early June this year, she told us that she wanted to return home to get married.
